Generous readers began donating new and gently used children's books to Book Harvest in January 2011, the same month that Book Harvest began giving books to at-risk children. In our first year, we distributed more than 35,000 donated books; within 20 months, that number had risen to 85,000. Our book giving continues, supported in myriad ways by our caring community.
